basic life support
Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance service is an emergency medical response focused on providing essential life-saving interventions and support until a patient reaches a medical facility. BLS ambulances are equipped with essential medical equipment and staffed by emergency medical technicians (EMTs) trained to administer fundamental care. It includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic airway management, wound care, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). BLS services are often dispatched to less critical medical situations, such as transportation of patients to doctors’ appointments, dialysis, and hospital discharges. In short, BLS plays a vital role in the initial response to emergencies, emphasizing prompt and basic interventions to support patients during transfer to a higher level of care.
